TRAVERSE CITY — Nancy Marie Nold, 70, of Traverse City passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015.
Nancy was born on Aug. 4, 1945 in Dearborn to the late Alvin and Ilo (Bruckart) Brancheau.
Nancy graduated from Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn. Nancy was a devoted member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church where she enjoyed the fellowship, volunteered with the food pantry and funeral luncheon Martha Guild Society. In her spare time she loved to cook. She also enjoyed dancing and listening to country music. Above all else, Nancy loved spending time with her family.
Nancy is survived by her children, Valerie (Dave) Palchak, Vicky (Kevin) Tornberg, Lynn (Dave) Elberson and Rick (Rebecca) Wazny; grandchildren, Jami (Kyle) Spitzley, Andrew Palchak, Noah Palchak, Sarah Trevor, Matthew Trevor, Seth Elberson, Sean Elberson and Eli Wazny; great-grandchildren, Giovanni Spitzley and Oliver Spitzley; and siblings, Richard (Barb) Brancheau, James (Beth) Brancheau and Rita (Ken) King.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nold; the father of her children, Ronald Wazny; and her sister, Janice Wheeler.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
The funeral service celebrating Nancy's life will take place on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 11 am at St. Michael's Lutheran Church.
Graveside services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Nancy may be directed to St. Michaels Lutheran Church.
