Traverse City - Nancy Grace Ravas, 77, of Traverse City passed away January 26, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born on October 16, 1939 in Springfield, OH to the late Corwin and Carolyn (Moore) Hablitzel.

Having moved to Oak Harbor, OH, Nancy met the love of her life, David Ravas, at Oak Harbor High School

On March 28, 1959, David and Nancy united in marriage. Together, they shared 58 years of marriage, four children, five grandchildren and many wonderful memories. Nancy was a passionate homemaker who won the hearts of many through her cooking and baking in combination with conversation. And after the dishes were cleared, she was the first to the table to play cards. She loved playing Bridge with her friends and Euchre with the family. Shrewd at both play and her sense of humor, she made every game a joy. Her laughter was contagious and her love unconditional. To recharge, Nancy loved fishing, sewing, reading, completing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and playing video poker at the local casinos.

Nancy is survived by her husband David, children Catherine Ravas of Traverse City, Douglas (Marnie) Ravas of Livonia, Jeffrey (Renee) Ravas of Rochester Hills and Cynthia (Robert) Goepfrich of Traverse City; grandchildren Zachary of Oakland, CA, Chad (Johnny) of Ann Arbor, Timothy of Rochester Hills, Christopher (Jordan) of Traverse City and Patrick of Traverse City; sister Molly Cheadle of Arlington, TX, brother-in-law Paul (Sally) Ravas of Toledo, OH, and sister-in-law Christine Hablitzel of Oak Harbor, OH.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brother George "Bud" Hablitzel.

The family will celebrate Nancy's life privately.
