Nancy Sheets, age 91, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to family, creativity, and enduring love.
Born on October 6, 1934, Nancy was one of nine children born to Albert and Gladys Lewis. Growing up in a large family shaped her lifelong appreciation for togetherness, laughter, and the importance of capturing life's meaningful moments.
At just 14 years old, while attending Webber Junior High School in Saginaw, Nancy met the love of her life, Jack. Their young friendship blossomed into a lifelong romance, and they were married in 1952 — beginning a partnership that would span more than seven decades. Together, Nancy and Jack raised three children: John (Mary), Connie Palmer, and Robert (Lori). Nancy poured her heart into her role as mother and later as grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved son John and daughter Connie, losses she carried with quiet strength and enduring faith.
Nancy built a meaningful career as the manager of Rummell Photo Studio in Saginaw. She enjoyed working with families and had a special gift for creating cherished portraits that captured milestones, relationships, and treasured moments in time. Through her work, she helped preserve countless family memories that will be held for generations.
Nancy was also an active and dedicated member of Interlochen Golf Club, where she proudly served as Captain of the Ladies Golf League. She treasured the friendships and camaraderie found on the course and took great pride in leading and encouraging fellow members. Golf brought her joy, connection, and many treasured memories.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Jack; her son Robert (Lori); her grandchildren John (Christina), Melissa (Kyle) Jenkins, Kelly (Colin) Landry, Robert (Vanessa), Katie (Tyler) Judkins, and Andrew (Kate); and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind extended family and many friends who were touched by her warmth, loyalty, and steady presence.
Nancy will be remembered for her enduring love, creative spirit, and deep commitment to family. Her life was one marked by resilience, grace, and the quiet strength of a woman who loved deeply and faithfully.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
