TRAVERSE CITY — Nancy Ann VanPelt, 76, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly at her home. Nancy was born on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 1934, to the late William and Mary (Levall) VanPelt, in Fife Lake. Prior to her retirement, Nancy had been employed by Michigan Miller Insurance Company in Lansing. She loved nature, crafts and arts, and playing her guitar. Nancy is survived by her brother, Frank (Audrey) VanPelt, of Grand Rapids; her sisters, Cerise Bartholomew, of Bentonville, Ark., and Ethel (Don) Chase, of Byron Center; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill (Mary Kay) VanPelt; and sisters, Eleanor Levall and Daisy Ellen Livingston. Graveside services will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley.
