Nicholas "Nick" Bean

TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Nicholas "Nick" Roger Bean, left this world to be with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2021.

Born a "Yooper" with an adventurous spirit, Nick had a genuine passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, four-wheeling, kayaking, playing tennis and golf, hiking, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. Nick was a life-long movie buff, whom also enjoyed watching documentaries and history programs because he loved to learn. Above all else, Nick loved his mother. She was his rock.

Nick always kept his family and friends laughing. He was witty, intelligent, and had a lot of random knowledge to share. Nick graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 2013 and briefly attended Northern Michigan University alongside his sister. Nick discovered a passion for customer service. He worked a variety of jobs over the years, but particularly enjoyed his employment at Boyne Mountain Resort.

Nick is survived by his father Roger Bean and sister Clarissa Bean both of Marquette, MI, his mother Lisa (Tim) Schaub and step-sister Jamie of Traverse City, and Jenna Schaub of Holland. He is also survived by Uncles Alan Bean, Rob and Chris Tuisku, as well as many cousins.

Preceded in death were grandparents Robert "Bob" and Marilyn Tuisku, Robert "Bob" and Mary Bean, uncle David Bean, and cherished dogs Alex and Niko.

The family invites friends to visit Thursday, April 29th, 2021 from 5-7pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Traverse City. The Rosary will be prayed at 7pm.

A Mass will take place at St. Patrick's on Friday, April 30th at 1pm with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Greg McCallum will officiate.

With heartfelt gratitude, the family would like to recognize John Galbraith and all who cared for, mentored, counseled and supported Nick throughout his life.
