Nicholas James Wesenberg's Obituary
Nicholas James Wesenberg of Traverse City, Michigan, age 28, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, after a long illness. Nick was born to Mike Wesenberg and Nancy Wesenberg (Dumas) on March 31, 1993 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Nick was the first born of two sons to Mike and Nancy. He was a 2011 Traverse City West High School graduate and was currently enrolled in Henry Ford Community College with the goal of becoming a Respiratory Therapist. Nick was having a very successful college experience and always had a gift for languages. He was fluent in both Spanish and French. Nick treasured art and loved to give his art work creations away to family and friends. He was interested in, and loved all animals, having many birds, cats, dogs, and aquariums over the years.
Nick was a beautiful soul, loved and adored by his family and friends. His smile, his laugh and his beautiful technicolor heart touched all who had the pleasure of meeting him. During the entirety of his life, everywhere he went, he made friends and when you were in his company you knew he was genuinely interested in you and your wellbeing. If you never had the chance to spend time with Nick, you missed out on a wonderful life experience. We all love him and miss him so very much.
Nick is survived by his parents Mike Wesenberg (Dawn), Nancy Wesenberg (Doug Bixby), brother Scott Micheal Wesenberg, stepsisters Emma Bixby, Ashlee Bixby, Macie Bixby, his grandparents Laura Wesenberg, Jack Wesenberg, and Harold Dumas, plus many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Rita Dumas (Gietzen), cousin James Dumas, and uncle Dennis Dumas.
