Nikola Baic, 91, of Traverse City passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions with his loving family at his side.
Nikola was born in Belgrade Yugoslavia in 1925 to Milan and Sofia Baic where he lived with his family until he and a froend escaped from the communist country in 1953 over the mountains into Austria and then onto Germany where he stayed with his sister Olga and her husband Marcel. there he met and married his wife Maria and shortly after moved to the United states.
He is survived by his wife Maria Baic, their daughter Carol Baic and her son Jacob.Brothers Vojin and Proka Baic and their families.
