TRAVERSE CITY — Norman Lee Edick, 78, of Cedar, died Monday morning, Oct. 17, 2011, at Munson Medical Center, with his loving family by his side.Born Jan. 17, 1933, in Flint, he was the son of the late Ross Eldon and Betty (Shorey) Edick. On Sept. 3, 1960, in West Branch, he married the former Ina A. Gorman.Norm faithfully served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War.For a number of years, Norm served as the Postmaster with the United States Postal Service in Maple City.He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ina M. "Peggy" Edick, of Cedar; children, Nancy Edick, of Cedar, Brad (Trisha) Edick, of Brighton, and Aaron (Denise) Edick; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jessica and Justin; siblings, DeWayne (Sue) Edick, of Grand Blanc, and Chari Edick, of Holly; along with many nieces.Cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Munson Hospice and Palliative Care.Kindly share your memories with the family on their online guestbook at www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com.Arrangements were made with the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
