TRAVERSE CITY — Norman G. Rademacher, 84, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 7, 2011.Norman was born April 7, 1927, in Mount Pleasant, to the late Gerred and Merita (Albar) Rademacher. Norman honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. He was married to Eunice (Rice) in 1951. After she passed away in 1973, he married June (Walter) in 1975 in Traverse City.Norman was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He was a self-employed truck driver for the Detroit Free Press. After his retirement in 1989, he enjoyed traveling, camping and old car shows.Surviving Norm is his wife, June; brother, Cyrl (Marie) Rademacher; children, Debbie Rademacher, Geff (Charlene) Rademacher, Liz Courtad, Mark Rademacher, Julie (Steve) Western, Brad Rademacher; seven step-children; 31 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.Norm was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Matthew Rademacher and his first wife, Eunice.Visitation will be held for Norman Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens.The family is being served by Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
