Orin James Leitner (Jim), 91, of Traverse City and White Lake, MI went home on December 15, 2020 to be with his beloved wife, Patricia. Throughout their 55 years he often referred to her as "his angel." They had a love story not often found in this day and age. Orin was born in Pontiac MI, August 12, 1929, son of Helen (Welberry) and Orin Leitner.

He was a man of integrity, one that was respected by all those who knew him and who left us with so many wonderful memories.
He was a faithful husband and an exemplary father/grandfather who provided for his family as a successful "car man." His contagious smile and sense of humor were memorable to everyone he met.

Jim will be remembered with great love by his children Pamela (Terry) Lidster, Richard Leitner, and Lauren (Rich Little) Leitner; grandchildren James (Allison) Leitner Sr., Kristen (Todd) Hiepler; Orin (Staci) Leitner, Anne-Abel (Tony) Smith and Grant, Gregory and Griffin Forrester; great-grandchildren James Leitner Jr., Lillian and Benjamin Leitner, Amelia, Penelope, Evelyn, Harrington and Theodore Hiepler, Orin Declan Leitner and Kayleigh, Kendrynn and Keidenne Smith; brother Loren Richard (Patricia) Leitner; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and a lifelong friend John McMullen.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Crampton) and sister Marlene (Dean) Fisher.
A celebration of life will take place in spring/summer of 2021. He will be laid to rest in the White Lake Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Orin's honor may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
