Paige Elizabeth Bugai

Cedar- Paige Elizabeth Bugai passed away peacefully May 13, 2016 at Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. Paige was born on July 30, 2002 into the loving arms of her mother Brenda at Munson Medical Center. Paige loved life and although bound to a wheelchair for most of it, you could never get over how huge her personality, glow and zest for life were. People often commented that knowing Paige had changed their life for the better. Paige loved adventure, participating in community events, going for walks and visiting her many community friends. Paige loved her videos even though her collection was vast, she knew exactly what she wanted to watch and loved having the character that went along with it. She had a silly sense of humor that had no bounds and knew exactly how to use it to her best advantage. She will always be remembered for her smile that lit up the room, and her brilliant sense of humor that could be found behind all her knock-knock jokes. With her high energy, she would playfully disobey some directions knowing that it would make people chuckle and think twice.

Paige is survived by her mother Brenda Bugai and father Jeff Tasker. Maternal grandmother Judith Bugai, Aunt Lynn and Uncle Ken Garvin, Uncle Peter Bugai; godmother Danna Bugai; Cousins Brandon, Kenny, Kerri and many more family members and friends that will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Anthony R. Bugai and her great grandparents.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Paige's home care providers; Dawn Kettler and Chris Croissant and the many dedicated aides that cared for her as if she was their own child. As well as a special thank you to the Cedar Fire Department and all the medical teams over the years. You have all been invaluable to Paige and the rest of her family.

Friends are welcome to visit with Paige's family on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City.

A funeral service honoring Paige will take place at 2:00 p.m., with visiting one hour prior, on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Westside Community Church, 4975 E Traverse Hwy, Traverse City, MI 49684. Pastor Chris Lane will officiate.
