Traverse City-Pamela Ann Blue, 61, of Traverse City, died Tuesday morning, September 25, 2012, at her home.
Born April 22, 1951, in Traverse City, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Norma (Ragan) Blue.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and also enjoyed her association with the A.R.C. Camp.
Pam was employed by Pranges and Younkers, where she thoroughly enjoyed her work and the interaction with other employees.
Her participation in Special Olympics was always very special and she was the proud recipient of many medals for her winning accomplishments.
Her gentle heart and kind spirit will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her supportive family; sisters, Anita K. Martin of Bokeelia, FL,, Pat (Larry) Jackson of San Antonia, TX, Nancy (Dave) Shay of Kingsley, Charlene Gleason of Traverse City, Bobbie Whaley of Traverse City; brother, Donald Lappo of Kingsley; brother-in-law, George Willis of Brighton, Ill; sister-in-law, Gail Blue of Roscommon; long time friend and caregiver, Katie Walters; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Margery Blue; sister, Doty Willis and her brothers, Douglas and Dennis Blue.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 P.M. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Rev. Robert Zagore will officiate.
Burial will follow at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
