Pamela ("Pam") Jean Buckley, 69, passed on Tuesday, June 28th, in Traverse City.
Surrounded by her two daughters, Lisa and Nicole, she took her last breaths before going to meet God.
To know Pam, was to love and adore her. From her fierce sense of independence and giving nature, to her child-like playfulness and zest for life. She has been a role model for her courage, strength and dedication to everyone who knew her, especially her family.
Pam was an incredible and loving woman full of sass and flare. To many, Pam was more commonly known as "Mom", "Grandma" or her favorite name, "Gigi". Family wasn't just about blood relation to Pam; it was about meaning and what she felt in her heart towards those that made her smile.
She is survived by many adorning people she called family. They include; daughters Nicole Knoch and Lisa (Lee) Underwood Howard as well as grandchildren; Jordan Nicole Hamilton, Madison Paige Richards (Logan Hutchinson), Hannah Rose Richards (Brandon Basch), Allen Michael Richards (Kristen Swanson), Hailey Marie Underwood, Abigail Elaine and Zachary James Egbert, Sarah Nicole Underwood, Andrew and Sarah Howard, Adam Howard, Alex Howard. She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Xavier, Harrison, baby boy Egbert, Zander Lee, Liam, Oliver and Theo. Additionally, she is survived by her wonderful extended children and their families; Scott and Michelle Buckley, Tom Buckley (Amy Ross), Jodi Buckley and grandkids; Robert and Jazlynn Buckley, Megan and Sean Overheul, Kyra Buckley (Jordan Bumgardner), Isaac Buckley, Rachel Buckley, Haley Buckley (Tony Rodriguez), Josh Buckley, Zach Buckley, Tyler Buckley, and great grandkids; Elleigha, Spencer, Addilynn, Olliver, Brooklynn, Remington, Payton, Dashel and Nora Jo.
Pam lived everyday paying things forward thru small gestures and large endeavors. Making a difference in the world was very important to her. Pam spent 25 years as the wife of a veteran and she had a very special place in her heart for The Wounded Warriors. She also had a love for children and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. May we honor and celebrate her through continued support and/or donations to these organizations.

Pam's brother, Thomas, passed away years before her and she has held his remains close to her until the day came and they could be together again. Her wishes were to have their ashes spread together thru fields of flowers.
"For every flower you see, she's a petal. A small, beautiful piece of something greater than we are meant to know."
Pam and her family are being cared for by the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
