Pamela Gay Hubbell, 73, of Traverse City passed away suddenly on March 23, 2024.
Pam was born October 14, 1950, to the late Herschel Odell and Alma Alene (Hampton) Alvis. She met her beloved husband Bill Hubbell on New Year's Eve 1970. Bill was immediately drawn to Pam. They married on November 20, 1971 in Flint, Michigan.
In 1973 Pam and Bill moved to Traverse CIty. There they raised their two remarkable sons, Todd and Shaun. Pam was a valued legal secretary working with Glen Aylsworth and Jim Modrall for many years; she was known for her talent and unwavering professionalism.
Pam enjoyed watching the Food Network and growing her culinary skills. She always had a new technique or recipe to try, and her family was always eager to enjoy the results. Pam found joy in reading, and she was passionate about music and dancing. Pam was a long time supporter of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and the University of Michigan sports teams; her family and friends will cherish memories of cheering them on with her. She had a keen sense of fashion and often said, "I'm going to go get cute," and she always did.
Above all, Pam cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Many memories of Pam will involve water, whether on vacation in Florida, boating on East Grand Traverse Bay, or simply enjoying a walk on the beach. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all her family and friends.
Pam is survived by her husband Bill, two sons, Todd (Alesha) Hubbell and Shaun (Chloe) Hubbell, grandchildren Willa, Rosalind, Vivienne, and Trey, siblings Terry (Kathy) Alvis, Brenda (Vern) Abeare, Jamie (Robin) Alvis, and brothers-in-law Thomas (Shelley) Hubbell, Robert (Wendy) Hubbell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
