Pat David Pinto

Pat David Pinto, 61, of Traverse City passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Pat was born on June 7, 1951 to John and Sarah (Guerresso) Pinto. He married Donna Jo Gies on December 3, 1980 in St. Clair Shores and together they lovingly raised three wonderful boys.

Pat worked in the heating and cooling industry for many years, most recently working for the Building Licensee Institute.

Pat enjoyed golfing, playing cards, fishing with his boys, hunting and spending time outdoors. He was an amazing cook both in the kitchen and on the BBQ. When cooking he was fondly referred to as "Pasta P" by his family and friends referring back to his deep Italian heritage.

Most importantly Pat loved being with his family. Either playing a fun game of corn-hole at family gatherings on Houghton Lake or just spending quality time with them. He was a wonderful son, husband, father and friend and his memory will be cherished forever.

Surviving Pat is his wife Donna, sons: Johnathon (Amanda) Pinto, Nicholas (Lauran) Pinto, Gregory (girlfriend Abigail Entz) Pinto, siblings: Don (Susan) Pinto, Linda (Steve) Rozewicz, Jo (Jim) Cotey, sister-in-laws: Dee Dee (Ron) DeRidder, Debbie (Roger) Bockenstette, special dog Vinnie and many other loving family members and friends.
Pat is preceded in death by his mother Sarah and brother-in-law Doug Gies.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 3-8pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral services for Pat will take place on Friday, April 12, also at the funeral home with a visitation held one hour prior. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Pinto Family to help with final expenses.
