Patricia I. Norcross

Patricia Irene Norcross, 87, of Lake Leelanau, went to be with her Lord and Savior died Sunday, September 03, 2017 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Pat was born on Saturday, May 31, 1930 to the late Vern and Elizabeth O'Kelly Campbell Gruenwald in Milwaukee. She married Robert J. Norcross on Friday, November 26, 1954 in Barrington, IL.

A graduate of Grays Lake High School, she then attended Carroll University, earning her bachelor's degree. Pat taught in elementary schools, and was a gifted artist, who enjoyed nature. Pat was a member of West Bay Covenant Church, where she served the church joyfully. Recently, she attended Bayview Wesleyan and enjoyed activities and friendships there. Pat was fun loving, knew no strangers and cherished her neighbors, nature, art and music.

She is survived by her children, Amber (Randy) Alsip of Lake Leelanau and Barton "Barry" (Jodi) Norcross of Plainfield, IL; her grandchildren, Christian (Matt) Misurac, Noah (Becky) Norcross, Seth (Kelsey) Norcross, and Greg and Jacob Alsip; great grandchildren, Faith, Sarah, Josiah and Jeremiah Norcross, Boaz, Jakin, Ezekiel Misurac and Max Norcross; a brother Vern (Jean) Campbell, Jr of Nekoosa, WI; stepsisters, Sara
( Harlow) Brown of Murrayville, IL and Nancy (Zoltan) J. Rozsa of South Beloit, WI. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, parents and step mother Nancy.

A service celebrating Pat's life will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30,2017 at West Bay Covenant Church in Traverse City, with Pastor Kent Anderson officiating. A gathering will take place in the church hall immediately following the service.
