Patricia Scheffler

Patricia Ann Scheffler was born in Detroit, Michigan, the eldest of three, on July 16, 1933. She attended Hillsdale College where she received a bachelor's degree in education and met her beloved husband Carl, whom she married in 1956 and together they had two children. While raising their two children, she earned her master's degree in Library Science from Central Michigan and began a career as a school librarian that spanned 37 years.
Pat was a loving and devoted mother, wife, and friend. She easily balanced raising a family with her work and hobbies. Her family was her pride and joy. Pat was an excellent self-taught cook, and champion supporter of her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included baking, gardening, knitting, and quilting. In retirement, quilting was her passion and she belonged to several quilting groups.
Pat passed away December 2, 2022, at the age of 89. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 67 years, Carl. Her children Tim Scheffler and Kelly Ratz (Mike), 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, and brother James Hodgson.
A celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
