Patricia Ann Teichman, 87, of Traverse City passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 2, 2025 at Munson Medical Center.
Patricia was born on March 22, 1938, to the late Chester and Margaret (Hurley) Hinkle. After her father passed away at a young age, she was lovingly raised by her mom and stepfather Bernon Cox.
On August 16, 1958, she married Ernest Anthony Teichman, Jr. at the Royal Oak United Methodist Church.
Patricia was a devoted wife, mom and homemaker. She will always be remembered for putting her family first. An avid card player, Patricia was also a gifted musician and enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the church choir, instilling her love of music in her children. She gave back to her community by volunteering at the hospital and helping to serve community outreach meals at the church. In her younger years, she enjoyed winter activities like snowmobiling and riding down a snow-covered hill on a toboggan. In the warmer months, she loved to go for walks and lay by the pool. Known to her children's friends as "Mrs. T," she opened her home often and warmly to many, many friends and family. She and Ernest retired to Traverse City and Florida and had many wonderful years together.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Chester, Margaret and Bernon; son Randy; grandson Caden; great grandson Evan and sister Joanne.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ernest; her daughters Diane (Ken) Grubaugh and Lori Bohlen; grandchildren Holly, Lauren and Madison; great grandchildren Jaxon, Colt, Evelyn, Cameron and Morgan; her half-sister Carol; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 1 pm at the Central United Methodist Church with visitation beginning 30 minutes prior.
