Patrick Andrew Walter

Patrick Andrew Walter, 34, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, surrounded by family. Patrick was born on August 18th, 1991, at Munson Medical Center to Glenn and Patricia Walter. He graduated from Suttons Bay High School in 2010.

When asked what his calling was, Patrick said he never felt called to a career, that his only calling was he wanted to be a great father. He was known for his outgoing and energetic nature. He attended New Hope Community Church, growing a relationship with Christ and learning to share that with others.

Patrick was preceded in death by Patricia Houdek-Walter, Julius Houdek, Teresa, and Albert Walter.

Patrick was survived by his fiancé, Brooke Araizaga; son, "PJ" Patrick Andrew Walter Jr.; grandmother, Delores Houdek; parents, Glenn and Kathie Walter; and siblings, Briana, Beth, Billy, and Jaclyn, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service for Patrick will take place on Tuesday, June 2nd at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00am, with visitation starting one hour prior. Cremation will follow, and a private family burial will take place at a later date.
