Peggy Ann "Peg" Asher took her final walk with the angels on Saturday, May 7, 2022. She is at peace and finally free of the MS that took her body so many years ago. Peg was born April 28, 1955 to the late John and Mary (Leggett) Asher. She graduated from Traverse City Senior High, earned a Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University and a Master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan.
She took great pride in working with blinded veterans at the VA hospitals in Taylor and Saginaw, Michigan. In May, 1981 she married James "Jim" Lindgren who proceeded her in death. Peg enjoyed traveling, gardening, music and of course, her beloved Wolverines "GO BLUE!" She is survived by her brother, John (Donna) Asher, Jr., nephew, John (JR) Asher, III, niece, Sarah (Brice) Neihardt, great-niece, Sofia Neihardt and sister-in-law, Sue Lelito.
An open house honoring Peg, will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a time of sharing to take place at 4:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
