Peggy Susan Mcnew

Peggy Susan McNew, age 68, of Empire, Michigan passed from this world on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 at Munson Medical Center. Peggy was born on October 7th, 1949 in Niles, Michigan to Clara and Leo Kolberg. She received her undergrad at Western Michigan University and her master's from Michigan State University. She taught elementary school for over three decades in Northwest Lower Michigan. She was a musician, painter, dancer, educator, volunteer, and lover of the outdoors. Peggy touched the lives of a countless number of people with her easy smile and her caring nature. She is survived in death by her loving husband Donald; her siblings Edward and Dean; as well as her three children Sara (Greg), Jason (Glenda), and Tim. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her her siblings Bruce and Sharon.
Open house visitation will be held at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on this coming Sunday, June 3rd, between the hours of 4pm and 6pm.
