Peter Joseph Mckian

Peter Joseph McKian, 84, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at The Villa at Traverse Point. Pete was born on September 6, 1935 in Traverse City to the late Jack and Florence (Compeau) McKian. He married Dian Marie Donaldson in 1958. Pete was a lifelong native of Traverse City growing up on his family's Cherry Farm on Old Mission Peninsula. He was a graduate of Traverse City High School. Pete proudly owned and operated McKian Excavating and McKian Metal Products. He had a passion for flying and loved to spend his winters in Matlacha, Florida.
Pete is survived by two sons and a daughter; Steven McKian, Wendy Kay McKian and Kevin Troy McKian. Also surviving are a sister, Sherry (Tom) Coffey and a nephew, Matthew Coffey and a niece, Amiee Coffey.
In accordance with Peter's wishes cremation has taken place.
