Peter Jon Shuert

Peter Jon Shuert, age 90, of Traverse City, Michigan (formally of Grosse Pointe, Michigan) passed away on November 3, 2025, in the presence of family. Peter was born February 22, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan.

Peter was a second-generation business owner of Engineering Reproduction Inc. of Detroit, Michigan. While he was successful in his career his main priority was always the love of his life Marilyn (Willoughby) and his family. In their 63 years together, they enjoyed exploring the world and spending time with family and friends at their Mullett Lake home.

In his golden years he and Marilyn continued to expand their circle of friends while playing cards at the Traverse City Senior Center.

Peter will be missed by his children; Mark Shuert, Jeffrey and Lisa (Sylvester) Shuert, Jennifer (John- deceased) Youker, his four grandchildren and his five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parent, Cecil Shuert and Grace (Kettlewell) Shuert, his wife, Marilyn and his brother, Paul.

The family would like to express their gratitude to his senior center friends – that he regularly beat at cards and to the staff at the Pavilions for their care of both Peter and Marilyn.

Peter is being cared for by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, in lieu of a funeral and flowers donations may be sent to the Grand Traverse Pavilions or the Traverse City Senior Center in Peter's name.
