TRAVERSE CITY — Philip Michael Williams, 20, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family after a tireless struggle with cancer.Philip was born on July 31, 1991, in Traverse City to the late Philip Carl and Mary Elizabeth (Huthmacher) Williams. He grew up in Bingham Township and attended Suttons Bay High School and graduated in 2009.Philip enjoyed Anime, watching movies, playing video games and swimming. He especially loved family dinners and spending time with his friends. Philip took great pride in having his own apartment and the accomplishment of living on his own.He was fortunate enough to make a trip through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and visited Vancouver, B.C., Canada. He was also able to travel to Las Vegas, a trip he had planned with his late father.Philip is survived by his loving family, sisters, Kathleen (Glenn) Stein, and Julie (Daniel) Rahe; brothers, John (Luci) Williams and Ted Williams; nieces and nephews, Kolbi, Brenna and Jacob Rahe, Konrad and Oliver Stein, Michaela and Bryanna Williams; one great-niece, Natalie Rahe; and many other family members and special friends.Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Carl and Mary Elizabeth (Huthmacher) Williams.Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Immediately following the visitation, burial will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
