Phyllis Ann Galloway

Phyllis Ann Galloway, 97, of Lake Ann, MI passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions, Traverse City, MI.

Phyllis was born on November 15, 1923 in Anoka, MN. After graduating high school she continued her education in Business College and worked for a bank and title company. She married the late Donald Floyd Galloway on May 12, 1944 and had two children, Robert & Susan Galloway.

She was a devoted and loving mother, heavily involved in the Champlin United Methodist Church & community, while supporting her husband's long career with the Champlin, MN police department. She was kind, straight forward, interested in people and how to help them. She cherished her neighbors and friends.

She moved to Traverse City Michigan in 1999 from Champlin, MN to be closer to her growing family, whom she loved with all her heart. She was a proud and active member of the Grawn United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, embroidery, cooking and was an excellent seamstress. She was always learning new things and embraced change.

Surviving Phyllis is her daughter Susan & son-in-law Joseph Aldrich, grandson Robert & wife Carrie Aldrich, grandson Christopher & wife Gretchen Aldrich, great grandchildren, Katherine, Casey, Koi, Haven, Tanner and Logan Aldrich, niece Karen & husband Tom Houser, nephew Scott & wife Suzie Pipenhagen, great nieces and nephews, Bret, Kyle and Raphaella.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Anna (Wilson) Pipenhagen, her brother Harold Pipenhagen, her son Robert Galloway and her husband Donald Floyd Galloway.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday Nov. 30th at 3:00 PM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation held one hour prior.

The family is having another Memorial service at the Champlin United Methodist Church on Dec. 4th at 11:00 AM with a visitation held one hour prior. Inurnment will take place in Champlin Cemetery in Champlin, MN.
