Phyllis Marie Johnson, 83, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Phyllis was born November 13, 1933 in Buckley, MI to the late Harold and Elsie (Corning) Elliott.
Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Traverse City. She worked in the athletic department at Traverse City (Central) High School for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and had a true love for animals.
Surviving Phyllis are her children, Jan (Tony) Cipollone of Cincinnati OH, Joseph (Dawn) Johnson of Beaver Island, Julie Johnson of Traverse City, Jill Johnson of Traverse City; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Dorene Langs and Maxine Craig
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
