Randall 'Randy' Eugene Stark, 62, of Interlochen, passed away at home with his loving wife and family by his side.
Randy was born February 24, 1956 to Donald and Marilyn (Mallott) Stark in Lima, Ohio. He has lived in Michigan since 1978, in the Northern Michigan Area since 2003 and finally to the Traverse City area in 2013. Although it can certainly be stated that he was a workaholic, he would never compromise the love and support to his family. He had high standards for achieving greatness, was a firm believer in doing things right and was an endless source of knowledge. He was a humble man that never gloated about his own accomplishments, but only of others. His legacy will live on for many generations to come.
Randy was a history buff and never passed up an opportunity to learn about it. He traveled often with his wife to great places like Gettysburg and other locations on the East Coast to see some of the wonders. He was also a member of the Traverse City Masonic Lodge #222, Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and the Ohio University Marching Band Alumni where he played the tenor sax.
Randy is survived and missed dearly by his wife Linda, his children; Erika (Jason) Kaufman, Rhiannon (Josh) Stelmaszek and Ian Stark, grandchildren; Alexa, Avery, Axton, brothers Brian (Janet) Stark and Sean (Kim) Stark, sisters Valerie (Doug Michael) Parkins and Christal (Mark Murphy) Ford and mother Marilyn. He is preceded in death by his father Donald.
A memorial service will take place today, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior. Those considering an expression of sympathy may choose to do so to the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation.
