Raymond Earl Ealy

Traverse City - Raymond Earl Ealy, 79 passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at Munson Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.

Raymond was born Sunday, November 29, 1936 in Grand Rapids to Earl and Gladys (Koshmider) Ealy. He will be remembered for his gentle demeanor, sense of humor and loving spirit. Ray had a strong moral compass, he loved his God, his family and his Country. He worked for the IRS for 32 years. He married Martha McPheters December 28, 1991

He is survived by his wife Martha McPheters Ealy ; daughter Susan (Rod Livernois) Young; son Michael (Gina) Ealy; brother Bob (Peggy) Ealy; step children Alexander Gounares and Peter Gounares; brothers in law Roger Harroun and William Hunter McPheters; grand children Alex and Haley Young; Noah, Brooke and Nate Ealy; George and Renat Gounares; George and Bentley Gounares; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Gladys (Koshmider) Ealy and his beloved sister Shirley Harroun.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a Trisagion Service being held at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Archangel Gabriel Greek Orthodox Church, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Reverend Father Ciprian Streza will officiate services.
