Rebecca Lee Chartier, 69, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024.
Rebecca was born on November 1, 1954, to Cecil and Edith Pierson in Grand Rapids, Michigan. From a young age, Rebecca was known for her generosity and kind spirit. She was always eager to lend a helping hand, ensuring that others were cared for and felt valued. Rebecca found great joy in spending time with her family and friends.
At 14 years old, Rebecca met the love of her life, Bart. They were married in 1971 and their bond grew stronger over time. Rebecca was a proud and devoted mother of 2 children and grandmother of 3 granddaughters she adored.
Rebecca dedicated over 20 years of her career to the HR Department at Northwestern Michigan College (NMC). She enjoyed her career NMC and there she made several life long friends. She had a way of making all feel welcomed and supported. leaving a lasting positive impact on all who crossed her path.
Rebecca is survived by her beloved husband, Bart; her children, Angela (Scott) Hale, Byron (Melissa) Chartier, and her three cherished granddaughters; Gillian, Audrey, and Isabella. She was beloved by a large extended family and had a gift for making each feel special. Her kindness, warmth and love touched many lives. Her absence with be deeply left.
