Rex D. Keister Jr.

Rex D. Keister, Jr., 75 of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Culver Meadows Senior Living Center. Rex was born on May 16, 1938 in Traverse City to the late Rex D. and H. Louise (Olson) Keister, Sr. He was married to Marie Annette Woolsey on September 4, 1964. Rex graduated from Traverse City Central High School. He later received his Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University and he also attended Detroit College of Law. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Rex retired from the Ford Motor Company after 31 years of service. He was very active in the Masons, the Shriner's and the Michigan Lake and Stream Association.

Rex is survived by his loving wife, Annette and a son, Kenneth Keister. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends are welcome to visit with Rex's family on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, also on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

A funeral service honoring Rex will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Gary Hogue will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
