In loving memory of Richard Keith Dunham, 76, of Traverse City, who passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born on April 6, 1947, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Howard and Beatrice Dunham. His life was a testament to joy and laughter, as he had an extraordinary talent for making others smile. Richard's adventurous spirit led him to obtain a pilot's license, and he enjoyed the exhilarating experience of operating hot air balloons.
A man with the "Voice for Radio," Richard channeled his passion for broadcast media into a fulfilling career as a sales consultant. He dedicated himself to helping businesses thrive through radio sales, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Richard found joy in supporting his favorite MLB team, the Detroit Tigers, and pursuing his love for golf. Golf was not just a sport for him but a source of constant enjoyment.
On July 3, 2010, Richard married his best friend and soul mate, Susan. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, creating a love story that grew stronger with each passing day. Their laughter resonated in every corner of their lives. Richard cherished his family, and his grandchildren were the cherries on top of a life filled with love and devotion.
Richard Dunham's legacy is one of laughter, love, and a genuine passion for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Susan. His brother John (Sandy) Dunham, his step daughter; Gina (Robert) Bowersox, Lisa Berridge, Rebecca Tobin, his nephew; Aaron (Bobbie) Dunham and niece; Karen (Anthony) Emmanuel and his adoring 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Traverse City.
Visitation will be from one hour prior to service beginning at 10am with Funeral beginning at 11am. A luncheon will follow.
