Richard J. Woods of Traverse City, Michigan, died May 25, 2022. Dick was born in Bay City, Michigan, on August 25, 1938, to Orville and Anna (Lenhart) Woods.
On May 7, 1966, he married Kathryn A. Brigman at Grace Episcopal Church in Traverse City.
Survivors include: wife — Kathryn; son Michael (Denise); grandsons— Logan Richard and Tanner Michael; and his brothers Thomas and Robert (Beth); nieces and nephews: David (Julie) Thomas, Timothy (Dawn) Cayla and Corrina, Christopher (Erica) Hunter, Kelli (Jay) Grace, Ella and Charlotte; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Brigman; nieces Courtney, Jessica; and nephew Brendan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law Roy and Ellen Brigman; and sister-in-law Karla Woods.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Peninsula Township Fire Department, 3235 Center Road, Traverse City, MI 49686.
