Richard Charles Kirt (Papa)

Richard Charles Kirt of Traverse City passed away August 21, 2016 at the Villa. He was 82. He was born February 9, 1934 in Lake Leelanau to Robert and Sylvia (Priest) Kirt. He married Darlene Davis November 24, 1956 at Saint Francis Church Traverse City. He was employed at Cone Drive Gear for 14 years. He enjoyed Tiger baseball, cars, tinkering, bike riding, attending church and gardening.

He is survived by his children Alan Kirt (Barb Fleis), Debra Kirt, Shelly Coddington (Dan), Judy Williams (Marc), and Karen Arreguin (Nazario) all of Traverse City. Sister Mary Ann DeVires (Wayne) of Grand Rapids. Grandchildren Jeremy Klingelsmith (Kristen), Kristi LaBarbera (John), Joshua Williams (Janel), Justin Arreguin, Alan Kirt, Nicole Graham, Matt Kirt, Christopher Williams and six Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene and parents Robert and Sylvia.

Visitation is Wednesday August 24, 2016 10 a.m. Saint Francis Church with Funeral services following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at 1:30 at Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cowell Cancer Center. Reynolds Jonkhoff funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
