Traverse City – Richard 'Dick' William Waldron, 84, of Traverse City passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Munson Medical Center.

Dick was born on Sunday, December 13, 1931 in Traverse City to Amos and Marguerite (Oleson) Waldron. Dick worked at Parson's and was the owner of Dick's Auto Parts for many years. He was a people person and could often be found sitting on his side porch having a conversation with neighbors or people walking by his home. He was a 'good guy' with a generous heart. He invited those less fortunate among us in to his home and provided them with a warm meal and good fellowship.

Dick married Alice Paquette and together they had 7 children. Later, he married Ruth Lamie and they had two children.

Dick is survived by his children; Char (Danny) Ziegler of Jackson, Richard Waldron of Traverse City, Sherry (William) Fisher of Traverse City, Debbie (Tony) Bristol of Jackson, Robert Waldron of Jackson, Connie (Joseph) Penkszyk of Batavia, NY, Peggy (Steven) Oiler of South Carolina and Kathy Waldron of Traverse City; and many grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Waldron; parents Amos and Marguerite Waldron; son Tom Waldron; sister Marge Manigold; and brother Robert Waldron.

A graveside committal service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City, MI.
