Richard F. Wilde of Traverse City, Michigan, age 91, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 11, 1930 to George and Myrtle (Herrman) Wilde.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jeanne (Dollries); children, Patricia Wilde of Key West, Florida Christopher Wilde of Traverse City, Joyce Battle of New York, Jennifer Wilde of Seminole, Florida; daughter-in-law Cindi Wilde; eight grandchildren, Briana Wilde, Logan Marr, Cedar Wilde, Madeleine, Luke, Isaac, Ava, and Max Battle; a great-granddaughter Analiese.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Albert Wilde; and son Michael Wilde.

He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture. He started his business in Cincinnati, but moved to Traverse City in 1975 and worked until he was 80. He loved being a registered architect.

He always enjoyed having breakfast each day at the Big Boy and made many, many friends there over twenty years.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Rexroat at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12675 Center Rd Traverse City, MI 49686. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to Mass.

Richard will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mapleton, Michigan, immediately following Mass.
