Obituary

Richard Francis Wulf, 78, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024. He was born on March 31, 1946, in Detroit, to Clarence and Ellen Wulf.

A proud veteran, Richard served in the U.S. Air Force, embodying leadership and earning the admiration and trust of those around him.

Richard retired from AT&T after 25 years of service. He then moved to Traverse City where he took a job with MPI Wireless. There he led the design and support of tall structures, including radio masts and towers for telecommunications and broadcasting. His desire for personal growth and his commitment to others left a lasting impact wherever he went.

Outside of his career, Richard had a deep passion for travel. Riding his beloved Triumph motorcycle, affectionately named Alice, he explored every continental state, except for Alaska and Hawaii. His most cherished adventures included time spent travelling the country with his family and friends, particularly his nephew.

Richard was happiest during the holidays, gathered around the family dining table, sharing laughter and love. He also enjoyed spending time with his great-nieces and great-nephew, especially when playing the game "Qwirkle." Known for his fun-loving spirit, he took pride in completing much of his bucket list.

He is survived by his sister Joyce MacIsaac; his niece Nancy (Paul) Winterhalter and their son Gage; and nephew Jim (Nichole) MacIsaac and their children Arabella and Coralyn.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ellen; and sister Margaret Anne.

A memorial gathering to honor Richard's life will be held at a later date. Please share your cherished memories of him with his family at www.Reynolds-Jonkhoff.com .
