Robert "Bob" Anthony Hoeflin, 79, of Kingsley passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Country Pleasures with his family at his side.

Bob was born on February 4, 1937 in Traverse City to the late Albert H. and Louise F. (Ferguson) Hoeflin. He lived in the Kingsley area all of his life and graduated in the class of 1955 from the Kingsley area High School. He married Sallie Kaye Seel on Saturday, October 14, 1961, at Central United Methodist Church in Traverse City. Together they raised two wonderful children, Scott and Vicki.

Bob was a mechanic and owned and operated Hoeflin's Service as the second generation. Bob was a lifetime member of the Masons. In his spare time he enjoyed antique cars and bowling. Eating out at his favorite restaurants also brought great joy to Bob. When his favorite restaurants would see his little red truck pull in the parking lot they would immediately make him "The Bobwich."

Surviving Bob are his children, Scott (Carrie) Hoeflin, of Kingsley, Vicki (Mike) LaCross, of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Hilary Hoeflin, A. J. (Kendra) LaCross and Taylor LaCross; his sister, Delores (Gary) Moore and several other loving family members and friends.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 11am on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with Chaplain Ron White officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Kingsley. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society.
