Robert "Bob" J. Oliver, 84 of Traverse City, passed away at home on Thursday, August 6, 2015.

Bob was born on the family farm in Beaverton, MI to the late Jay and Anna (Colbeck) on June 18, 1931. This is where he learned his valuable hard work ethics. He married the love of his life Faye J. Davis on March 20, 1954 at the Elsie Baptist Church in Elsie, MI. Together they lovingly raised three wonderful daughters, Kim, Kellie and Shawn.

Bob Honorably served our Country in the United States Army as a Personnel Specialist and radio operator. He was a CMU graduate and proud to have a grandson who graduated from the same. He was a dedicated accountant for many years and worked hard in several businesses throughout his life. He owned and operated Northern Ceramic Distributors.

Bob loved the outdoors and the beautiful Northern Michigan area. His love of gardening was one of his favorite past times.

Most importantly Bob was a dedicated family man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Surviving Bob is his wife Faye of 61 devoted years, children, Kim (Donnie) Andersen, Kellie (Dave) Beckwith, Shawn (Dave) Rusniak, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers Donald, Douglas, John and many other loving family members and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Doris, Edwin and Earl.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday August 10, 2015 at 11 am at the First Congregational Church in Traverse City with a visitation held hour prior.
