Robert "Bob" C. Reamer

Robert (Bob) Clarence Reamer, 88, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, in Traverse City, Michigan. Born on December 31, 1937, in Kingsley, Michigan, Bob lived a full and purposeful life rooted in family, hard work, and a deep love for the people and places that shaped him.

Bob married his high school sweetheart, BetteLou (Mihulka), and together they shared 67 years of devoted partnership. He was a dedicated provider and businessman, serving as owner of the Kingsley IGA for 20 years and working as a cook at the Traverse City State Hospital. Whatever he set his hands to, Bob did with care and skill. Known as a true handyman, he could fix just about anything, and he spent countless hours painting, refinishing furniture, and breathing new life into the things around him. Bob also loved time outdoors and hunting with family.

Bob and BetteLou shared a passion for travel, exploring the beauty of America together in their motor home, journeying to the west coast and back again. Yet his greatest joy was found close to home, surrounded by the family he cherished. There was always a grand baby on his lap, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren will carry those tender memories for a lifetime.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, BetteLou Reamer; his children, Robert J Reamer (Stephanie), Sheryl Peters (Mike Shiley), Ronald Reamer (Julie), Suzanne Welton (Lars), and Lisa Breithaupt; his sisters, Rosie Duell and Doris Rodes; his foster brothers, Ron Waukazoo and Roger Miller; 10 grandchildren, Steven (Chloe) Reamer, Lucas Peters, Jason Peters, Amber (Mike) West, Ashley (Kellen) Wressell, Caleb Breithaupt, Eric Reamer, Isabelle (Joe) Summers, Keelin (Kayla) Lundwall, and Skylah Lundwall; 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph A. Reamer, mother, Frances B. Reamer (Endres); brothers, Ralph (Laura) and Raymond (Betty) Reamer; sister, Marilyn Rice; Brother-in-laws, Raymond Duell, James Rodes, Rodney Rice, and Ronald Mihulka.

Trusting in the promise of eternal life through his Christian faith, Bob now rests in the peace of his Lord.
