Robert Miller Brooks, age 94, passed away March 12, 2022 in Traverse City. He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on September 4, 1927 to the late Clarence and Esther (Browne) Brooks. On September 13, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan, he married Elaine Rose (French) Brooks, who survives.

Robert served in the United States Army and later worked as an insurance adjustor for Auto Owners Insurance Company. He and his family lived on Long Lake for many years and he was an avid swimmer. Robert also enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by two children, Robert (Julie) of Northport, and Kathleen (Donald) Ehrenberger of Traverse City; grandchildren Devin, Griffin and Colton Brooks, and Jennifer and Joseph Ehrenberger; great-grandchildren Kirkland and Kaitlyn Shepard and Emma Ehrenberger; great-great grandchild Owen Shepard; and his brother John (Alice Jean) Wetterholt of Detroit, Michigan.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfathers George Wetterholt and Arthur Ackland.
