Robert Maurice Buttars, 48, of Lake Ann, passed away unexpectedly in Minot, N. D. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
Bob was born on Sunday, November 8, 1964 to Robert and Barbara (Apodaca) Buttars in Salt Lake City, UT. He married the former Lynette Kay Blackford on Saturday, February 15, 1986 in Traverse City.
Bob had worked as an auto heating and cooling specialist. He was an avid baseball fan, especially enthusiastic about the Detroit Tigers. He enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing as well as other athletics.
He is survived by his wife Lynette of Lake Ann, sons, Branden and Gregory of Lake Ann, Sean of Traverse City; grandson Noah Clark: his mother Barbara A. Preville of Fostoria; sisters Lisa Buttars of Mason, Julie (Ron) Rocco of Kentwood, IL; grandmother Francis Coates of Riverton, WY and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 10 am until 11 am Tuesday, May 28 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with funeral services then beginning at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenbriar Cemetery at Lake Ann. Memorial contributions may be directed to Special Olympics.
