Robert "Bob" David Werner, 62, of Traverse City, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Munson Medical Center. Bob was born on June 21, 1958 in Detroit to William and Nadine (Ebel) Werner. He graduated from Allen Park High School in 1976. Bob owned and operated Double W Oil Field Services, Inc. He was a faithful member of Pine Grove Church in Traverse City.

In his spare time, Bob loved to go fishing with his friends. He could also be found in his custom car garage, working on his 1972 Dodge Charger, or helping others fix their cars. He enjoyed playing and coaching hockey and was an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Lions. Above all, spending time with his family was his greatest joy. Bob was a very positive person; he had a passion for life and lived his life to the fullest.

Bob is survived by his two loving daughters; Jamie (Tim) Cramer and Gena (Derrick) Tucker, his father, William (Patti) Werner and five grandchildren; Shelby, Thomas, Ella, Carter and Lily. Also surviving is a brother; Bill (Jackie) Werner, a sister, Karen (Mike) Ward as well as a very special companion, Kim Roden.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Werner and a sister, Sherri Loree.

Friends are welcome to visit with Bob's family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, Michigan 49684.

A funeral service honoring Bob will take place at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Pine Grove Church, 790 Indian Trail Blvd, Traverse City, Michigan 49686. Pastor Marc Hoard will officiate. In accordance with Bob's wishes cremation will follow.
