Traverse City - Robert R. Davis, 97, of Traverse City passed away May 1, 2016 at Munson Medical Center.

Bob was born on September 18, 1918 in Wexford County. He was a graduate of Buckley High School class of 1936. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1941 - 1945.

On September 27, 1986 Bob married Floris Faye Ramsay who preceded him in death in 2007.

Bob was a lifetime member of the Masons. He retired in 1980 from CSX Railroad after 34 years as a conductor, brake inspector and safety supervisor.

Bob will be remembered fondly by his family and friends in Naples, Fl and at the Grant United Methodist Church and at the Village at Bay Ridge.

The memorial service honoring Bob's life will take place on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Grant United Methodist Church. Pastor Colleen Wierman will lead the service of remembrance.
