Robert "Bob" E. Rountree, Sr. of Interlochen, Michigan passed away on Sunday December 18, 2022 at Munson Medical Center.

Bob was born on November 10, 1944 in Traverse City, Michigan to the late Edward O. Rountree and Maxine L. Domine (Kubesh). He was the eldest of six children and a 1962 graduate of Traverse City Central High School.

He was a devoted Husband, Father and Papa to his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Linda "Sue" (Bates) Rountree. Children, Robert "Rob" E. Rountree Jr. and Michelle (Ryan) Lewis. Grandchildren, Isabella Winifred Lewis and Fletcher Edward Lewis. Brother, Mark Domine and Sisters, Marcia (Pat) Magee and Dawn Fox, along with many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Rountree and Maxine Domine. Twin Brothers, Richard and Larry Rountree and infant brother Johnny Domine.

Bob was a Veteran of the US Army serving two tours in Vietnam in 1966/67.

He retired from Textron Cone Drive Gear after 40 years of employment.

He loved all sports but favored all Michigan teams, especially the Detroit Lions. He also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles daily.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with Military Honors at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Almira Township Park, 7276 Ole White Dr., Lake Ann, Michigan 49650.

Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of Cherryland V.F.W. post 2780 and American Legion post 35.

Burial has taken place at Memorial Gardens in Traverse City, MI.
