Robert 'Bob' Edward Heminger, 70, of Traverse City passed away Tuesday, February 06, 2018 at the Villa's at Traverse Point.
Bob was born on September 2, 1947 to Frank and Virginia (Felgner) Heminger in St. Joe, MI. He enlisted in the US Army following high school and served his country in the Vietnam conflict. He returned to the Traverse City area and worked as an assistant greens keeper at the Interlochen Golf Course.
Bob was a sports fanatic. He loved all of the professional Detroit teams and was a huge fan of the Michigan Wolverines. He was an avid bowler and was a fixture on the Friday night leagues. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers.
Bob is survived by his brothers Richard (Connie) Heminger, Ronald (Gene) Heminger, Thomas (Kathy) Heminger; Donald (Bonnie) Heminger and William (Cheryl) Heminger.
He was preceded in death by his son Matthew Heminger and his parents.
The family wishes to thank Nancy Walter, Gary Kibby and Dennis Frick for their special care and love shown to Bob over the years.
