Robert Anthony Kozlowski, 88, of Traverse City, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City, with his family by his side.
Bob was born on Saturday, December 5, 1925 to the late Anthony and Margaret (Nolan) Kozlowski in Detroit. Bob served our country as a member of the U. S. Marines - First Marine Corp Division during WW II. He married Lucille Bernice Chadwick on August 28, 1948 in Detroit. They raised their children in Royal Oak and Northbrook, IL.
Bob began his working career in an entry level position with Canteen Corportation. He advanced through the company over the years. He then served as the President and CEO of Canteen Corporation between 1981 and 1991, at which time he retired.
Bob enjoyed, boating, time on the water and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his sons, Anthony (Kathleen) Kozlowski of Spokane, Wash., and John (Valerie) Kozlowski of Grand Rapids and his grandsons, John (Allison) and Robert. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille and his daughter Karen Kozlowski.
Private family services will take place at Oakwood Catholic Diocesan Catholic Columbarium at a later date.
