TRAVERSE CITY — Robert Eugene Kukla, 56, of Traverse City, died unexpectedly Monday, April 4, 2011, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Born in Manistee on Nov. 19, 1954, he was the son of John Kukla and Joyce Snider Perski. Bob had been employed at Sara Lee for 38 years. He was a devoted husband and father, and a caring son and brother who believed in doing more for others than you do for yourself. He survived by his wife, Shirley (Flees), whom he married on April 20, 1974; his son, Jason Kukla; and his daughter, Lisa Kukla, all of Traverse City. Also surviving are his mother, Joyce Perski; brother, John (Cheryl); sister, Jean (David) Dresnek; brothers, Gary (Barb) and Terry; along with Shirley's family; and nieces and nephews.Service arrangements are pending.
