Robert Morse Montgomery was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 2, 1931, the third child of Helen (Rice) Montgomery and Dr. Edgar Morse Montgomery.

In 1953 Robert married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Cornwall. After being honorably discharged from the Army and graduating from the University of Detroit Dental School, he and his wife moved to Traverse City where he practiced dentistry for 42 years.

Robert is survived by his daughters: Margaret (Mike Rossman), Nancy (David Baum), Catherine (Bill Tucker) and his seven grandchildren: Nicholas and Samuel Rossman, Alexander and Aaron Baum, and William, Allie and Michael Tucker.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, his daughter Marcia Montgomery, his parents, his brother George Montgomery and his sister Ellen Oren.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on November 3rd at noon at Central United Methodist Church in Traverse City, Michigan.
