Robert Calvin Rauch, 73, of Williamsburg and formerly of Alden, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, October 12, 2014
at Cherry Hill Haven Lodge in Traverse City.
Bob was born on Tuesday, April 15, 1941 to the late Guy and Edna (Van
Camp) Rauch in Clam Lake of Antrim County, the youngest of 12
children. The family made their home in Alden where Bob was raised. Bob married the former Marjorie S. Way at the little church in Rapid
City on Saturday, March 16, 1963.
A tool and die machinist, Bob had worked for Century Specialties,
Inc.. for 31 years prior to his retirement. He was an active member
of Living Hope Church in Traverse City, where he served as a Deacon
and as a member of Men of Hope. He loved to spend time with his
family as well as hunting and fishing.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marge; his children, Robert
Michael (Tina) Rauch of Williamsburg, Heather Rauch of Williamsburg
and his beloved granddaughters, London, Shelby, Bailey and Harley. He
is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in
death by his parents and his brothers and sisters, Leon, Virginia
Grove, Delbert, Georgia Hallam, Jake, Joyce Richards, Don, Melvin,
Vern, William and Dina Meadows.
Visitation for friends and family will being at 10 a.m. Saturday,
October 25 at Living Hope Church (3050 S. Airport Road West, Traverse
City) followed by the memorial service celebrating Bob's life at
11:00 AM, also at the church. Pastor Carey Waldie will officiate.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be directed to Living
Hope Church.
