TRAVERSE CITY – Robert Dorman Skinner, age 82, of Traverse City, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Munson Medical Center.
Robert was born in Manchester, IA on June 22, 1938 to Francis and Edith (nee Dorman) Skinner.
Bob lived in his Traverse City home with wife, Ruth for 44 years. He was employed with the federal government as a radar technician for 30 years after serving in the Army and he worked for Radio Shack in sales. Bob was a member of East Bay Calvary Church. Bob also was involved in Awana and Lake Ann Camp.
Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth (nee Stark), sons; Allen (Tricia) Skinner, Chesterfield, MO, Jeffrey (Marianne) Skinner, Fairless Hills, PA, grandchildren; Joely, Tate, and Madeline Skinner.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Charles, George and Bill, and sister, Mary.
A private family graveside service honoring Bob's life will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest.
